How to get involved
Technical training on turf all winter is our secret sauce. Want to set your child apart from the rest? This is where to start. You do not need to be affiliated with a soccer team to participate — this is open to anyone.
Through Midwest United FC, our players have access to the highest platforms in the country — from MLS Next to Girls Academy and Directors Academy — the clearest pathway in the sport.
Join us for three summer camps in 2027 — June, July, and August. Starting in November, college coaches from around the USA come to Northern Michigan on Saturdays and Sundays to run 2–4 hour training sessions. Registration opens October 15, 2026.
Midwest United FC is the competitive pathway — tryout-based teams that train here and travel across the region in the highest-level games in the Midwest. Tryouts are every June and the season starts in mid-August.

Open to all players born 2022–2023A variety of games and challenges will help introduce the basics of soccer skills and athletic movement in a fun and encouraging environment. Players will develop their individual knowledge of the game while working towards playing in their very first scrimmages as the semester progresses.

Designed for kids born 2018–2021Our Junior Elite program typically blends individual skill sessions with open play, giving our athletes the opportunity to learn new skills and then put them to use in a game environment!

The club
Midwest United FC is the competitive side of Northern Michigan Elite Soccer: tryout-based teams, licensed coaches, and a training home at the Field House year-round. Tryouts are every June and the season starts in mid-August, with players moving up from First Touch and Junior Elite into club play as they're ready.
